Your PIC; Edubuntu or Windows?

Yes PIC, as in Personal Internet Communicator. A PIC is an inexpensive computer created by AMD, running a stripped down version of Windows CE. Now, 2 years after its initial release, there is a second-generation of the PIC available and the Computer and Peripheral Testing Laboratory, in the Thailand Science Park near Bangkok University, has successfully booted an official OLPC image as well as an Edubuntu on one.

Head on over to LinuxDevices.com and read the entire article. If you are interested in further reading and specifications, then check out the OLPC Thailand Wiki Page.

You're fired! Mark S in The Apprentice?

Ever wondered how the business-world looks at Ubuntu?

Our pals at Canonical, including Mark Shuttleworth and Jane Silber, have been speaking to Forbes, the American business magazine. You probably won't learn anything all that new about the distro, but there are some interesting snippets, such as:

Shuttleworth tried out in early 2005 for the Donald Trump role on a South African version of The Apprentice.

Okay, I admit it, the article is interesting in its own right, but that bit about Mark and The Apprentice is what makes it Fridge-worthy. Unfortunately for us, the show's producers chose Tokyo Sexwale instead.
